A to-be-school shooter and hotel housekeeper embark on the most pivotal conversation of their lives. In this psychological thriller, we are taken into the headspace of a disturbed 17-year-old high schooler Cain the night before he prepares to commit his monstrous act. Simply put, the film is about the pure kindness of a stranger that breaks Cain down and prompts him to come to terms with the ugliness in his own heart, thus convincing him out of following through with the plan.

Lenny is a "crust punk" with long-term drug addiction, escaping his void by looking for his next hit. A bit sassy, a bit strung out, and very unpredictable. His best friend Devon sometimes fears his overdose from smoking pills like OxyContin. He and Devon hike up a hill to try to get high, but bump into two friends they had met in an NA meeting weeks earlier.

With his mother recently adopting another child, Ben feels abandoned by his family. Though Ben does love his new brother, the fifteen year age differences makes connecting with him much harder.

Frank is one of Watford Prep Academy’s cruelest schoolboys. He grew up in a military family, works hard but plays even harder. He has a short temper and is the explosive athlete amongst his peers. He enjoys breaking school rules and tormenting other students, but is also very good at not getting caught, even once a student is killed.

Josh is an unprofessional burglar from South LA. He has been stealing in order to look out for himself, but enjoys the thrill from his criminal lifestyle. His family does not provide him money for food. In the story, when he sneaks into his next apartment, he finds a man bleeding in a bathtub from attempted suicide.

A kind soul. Neil is a sweet and gentle cashier, who easily develops crushes and is never one to judge what someone else is going through. His problem is the heartburn one feels falling in love so easily.
